How do you get living shards in Terraria? ›

Living Shards are a pre-hardmode magic material. They are used to craft Living Armor, as well as countless other nature related weapons. Along with a crafting recipe, they can also be obtained by trading Magic Essence to The Apprentice.

The Dark Shard is a Hardmode crafting material used in the crafting of the Dao of Pow and the Onyx Blaster. It has a 1/10 (10%) chance of being dropped by Dark Mummies in Corrupt Deserts, Blood Mummies in Crimson Deserts, and Shadow Mummies in Corrupted Deserts.

It has a 1/10 (10%) chance to drop from Light Mummies and Spectral Mummies which spawn in Hallowed deserts. Mobile version, they also have a 1/15 (6.67%) chance to drop from Dreamer Ghouls in the Hallowed Underground Desert, and a 1/25 (4%) chance of dropping from Crystal Threshers.

Crystal Shards are a common Hardmode ((Desktop, Console, Old-gen console and Mobile versions)) crafting material found in the Underground Hallow.

Shards of Life are rare drops, obtained by defeating Slider bosses in Slider's Labyrinth dungeons.

tModLoader versions, Dark Mummies spawn in Corrupted Deserts, and Blood Mummies spawn in Crimson Deserts. tModLoader Legacy versions, Dark Mummies spawn in both the Corrupted and Crimson Deserts. On all versions, Light Mummies spawn in Hallowed Deserts.

Because of the number that is obtainable in a world, The Dirtiest Block is one of the rarest objects in the game. Dirtiest Blocks can also be a Mud Block in the Not the bees seed.

While its base damage is rather low, this is alleviated by its three-round attack and exceptional critical strike chance, making it a very powerful early-Hardmode weapon.

Hallow CAN spread over corruption/crimson stone.

So corruption surrounded by hallow will not spread, and likewise the other way around. Hallowed grass will take over Crimson grass, but still stops at Crimstone."

How rare is ectoplasm in Terraria? ›

The Geode is a rare consumable dropped by Granite-themed enemies with a 1/20 (5%) chance. Geodes can be thrown with the ⚒ Use / Attack button, causing them to drop two types of gems upon impact with blocks. The amount of gems varies from 3 to 6.

Crystal Shards emit a small glow, similar to Demonite Ore and Crimtane Ore. They do not spread the Hallow.

The Life Crystal is a permanent booster item that permanently increases the player's health capacity by 20, adding a red heart to the player's health bar, while also restoring 20 health. Life Crystals can be found naturally placed in any area in the Underground layer and below, though they are fairly uncommon.

The Underground Jungle is a good place to look for Life Crystals, due to the large amounts of open space. The Ice biome or a Glowing Mushroom biome may be a less dangerous alternative. The Life Crystal allows for the spawning of the Nurse NPC in both Pre-Hardmode, and Hardmode.

(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) Smaller, Living Mahogany Trees are found deep in the Underground Jungle.

Living Leaf is a crafting material that has a 33.33% chance to drop from Leaf Blocks and Mahogany Leaf Blocks once mined. They can also be obtained by mining Living Leaf Bushes, an ambient object that generates on grass in the outer edges of the world.

Build a sky bridge to either side until finding an Island. Common blocks like Dirt, Stone, or Hay can be used for the sky bridge. Use a long-range weapon with a ricocheting projectile, such as a gun with Meteor Shots. The projectile's return will signify a landmass above.
